The Orville Continues Its Journey

Inspired by Star Trek, this series showcases genuine human reactions, all wrapped in a humorous package. It holds up a mirror to society, as one might expect from its creator and star, Seth MacFarlane. Despite its popularity among sci-fi fans, the show hasn't achieved standout ratings either abroad or in Hungary.

The premiere date for The Orville's third season remains uncertain, though it's promised for 2020. The show has moved from FOX to Hulu, allowing for a longer production timeline.

For those unfamiliar: The series follows Ed Mercer, an officer in the Planetary Union, who becomes captain of the exploratory spaceship, the Orville. He must work alongside his ex-wife and various aliens. The ship embarks on numerous missions, while the quirky crew's habits and daily lives provide entertainment. Despite the challenges, diplomatic and other missions are always successfully completed.
